چکیده

Tuberculosis is a global health problem with total of 1.4 million cases in 2015. Over the last decade, several studies have demonstrated potential role gut-lung axis treatment tuberculosis. The exact mechanism on tuberculosis still unknown, however modulation can be performed via probiotic administration. administered probiotics are capable inducing an immunomodulating effect which helps process infection. One molecules that activated and plays infection granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF). GM-CSF control intracellular production M. tuberculosis, inflammation granulomas, lung tissue reparation. This article aimed to explore axis, GM-CSF, probiotic-based therapy active It was found mediate immune response activation inflammatory cytokines interleukins related infection, but not directly pathogen. Thus, has increase immunity during Further other mechanisms against through administration need performed.

Granulocyte Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor

Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a model for multiple sclerosis, can be induced by immunization with a number of myelin antigens. In particular, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein, a central nervous system (CNS)-specific antigen expressed on the myelin surface, is able to induce a paralytic MS-like disease with extensive CNS inflammation and demyelination in several strains of ...

A Functional Polymorphism of the Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor is not Associated with the Outcome of HTLV-I Infection

Introduction Genetic background has known to be associated with the outcome of human T cell lymphotropic virus (HTLV) type I infection. In The present study we investigate the association between GM-CSF gene polymorphisms with the outcome of HTLV-I infection. Materials and Methods We analyzed 3 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in the promter region of granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating...

Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-stimulating Factor

We show that 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25[0H12D3), the most hormonally active metabolite of vitamin 113, modulates sensitively and specifically both the protein and messenger RNA accumulation of the multilineage growth factor granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF). The regulation of GMCSF expression is seen in both normal human mitogen-activated T lymphocytes and T lymphocy...

Role of Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor Production by T Cells during Mycobacterium tuberculosis Infection

Mice deficient for granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF-/-) are highly susceptible to infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and clinical data have shown that anti-GM-CSF neutralizing antibodies can lead to increased susceptibility to tuberculosis in otherwise healthy people. GM-CSF activates human and murine macrophages to inhibit intracellular M. tuberculosis growth. W...

Granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor therapy for pulmonary alveolar proteinosis.

We report a case of 58 year old female diagnosed with Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP) with recurrence of PAP after 5 repeated whole lung lavage, responding to subcutaneous injections of Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor therapy (GM-CSF). Thus indicating that GM-CSF therapy is a promising alternative in those requiring repeated whole lung lavage
